Celebrate Earth Month with a neighborhood tree planting! 🌳 We are looking for volunteers to help us plant 40 trees at the intersection of Emery Avenue and Victory Blvd, which is currently a vacant lot just off the highway (I-71). Volunteers are highly encouraged to attend a training provided by Forest City Ecological Services on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6pm at our office (14703 Puritas Ave). This will be a short informational session on how to plant and care for trees. You do NOT have to participate in the group planting to attend the training. The planting will take place on Saturday, April 26th starting at 9:30am. Please dress comfortably for working outdoors (including close-toed shoes) and be sure to bring water. You may still participate in the planting if you missed the training. All are welcome, so bring a friend and get your hands dirty! (No dogs, please).
