Public Art Meeting

The Jefferson-Puritas West Park Community Development Corporation is looking to expand the “More Alike than Different” mural, located on the north side of Puritas Avenue at West 160th Street.

The mural was created by artist Garrett Weider in the summer of 2021. The mural celebrates people with disabilities through art. The existing mural was a collaborative effort between the Northeast Ohio Down Syndrome Association and Jefferson-Puritas and funded by organizations working with individuals with disabilities and the Cleveland Browns.

Jefferson-Puritas is seeking funding from the Cuyahoga County CDSG grant program to extend the mural to the Ward 16 border, under the eastern bridge.

Please join us for a community meeting to discuss this project and public art further. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 6:00 at the Jefferson-Puritas office, located at 14703 Puritas Avenue.
